Product-family information

What this product is.

This product family is part of the Electrical Supplies sourcing catalog. This guide explains common construction, manufacturing, selection criteria and the information needed to identify an exact product without implying stock or a specific manufacturer.

INSTALLATION PLANNING

Electrical wire in the field.

This original STRIKING DEALS illustration identifies the product family and installation workflow without copying a manufacturer or third-party image.

It is a sourcing and coordination visual, not an installation drawing. Supports, connections, clearances and code requirements must be verified for the selected product and project.
MANUFACTURING

How the material is commonly made

Electrical conductors are drawn to wire size, annealed as required and insulated by extrusion. Individual conductors are cabled together; metal-clad cable adds an interlocked or corrugated armor system and product-specific grounding construction. The finished cable is marked, tested and wound into coils or reels.

MATERIAL

Composition and construction

Copper or aluminum conductors, thermoplastic or thermoset insulation and product-specific armor, jacket and grounding components.

CONFIGURATIONS

Common ways to specify it

  • Conductor material, count and AWG/kcmil size
  • Voltage and temperature marking
  • Armor, jacket and grounding construction
  • Coil, reel or pallet packaging
APPLICATIONS

Typical construction uses

  • Branch circuits
  • Feeders and distribution where listed
  • Commercial, multifamily and residential work where permitted

Quality and document checks

  • Verify printed cable markings
  • Confirm listing for the intended location
  • Check reel length and conductor count

Important limitations

  • Cable family name alone does not establish permitted use
  • Ampacity and protection require electrical design
  • Exact grounding construction must be verified
This family page does not establish stock, manufacturer affiliation, compliance or certification. Final dimensions, ratings, standards, listings and documentation are verified for the exact product offered.
